FFL Transfers in Beaumont, TX
$25 flat fee

Bought a firearm online and need a local FFL to receive it? We've got you. East Texas Tactical is a licensed Federal Firearms dealer in Beaumont — bring us your online or out-of-state purchase and we'll handle the transfer for a $25 flat fee, no surprises. Serving Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, Vidor and all of Southeast Texas.

How an FFL transfer works

Federal law requires that a firearm bought from an out-of-state seller ship to a licensed dealer — not to your door. That dealer is us. Here's the whole process, start to finish:

1️⃣

Buy your firearm

Purchase from any online retailer, auction site (GunBroker, etc.), distributor, or out-of-state private seller. Caliber, brand, and price are entirely up to you.

2️⃣

Ship it to our FFL

At checkout, give the seller our FFL information (below). Ask them to put your name on the package so we can match it to you when it lands.

3️⃣

We receive & log it

When your firearm arrives we enter it into our bound book and call you to set up a pickup time. No long waits — we move fast.

4️⃣

Pick it up

Come in, complete ATF Form 4473, pass the NICS background check, pay the $25 fee, and take your firearm home. That's it.

Ship your firearm to our FFL

Give this exact information to the seller or retailer at checkout. Many online stores already have us on file — search for us by name or FFL number.

FFL transfer questions

How much does an FFL transfer cost?

Our FFL transfer fee is $25 flat per firearm — no hidden charges. You pay it when you come in to complete the background check and pick up your firearm.

How does an online gun purchase transfer work?

Buy your firearm from any online retailer or private seller. At checkout, give them our FFL information (below). They ship the firearm to us. When it arrives we log it into our bound book and call you to schedule pickup. You come in, fill out the ATF Form 4473, pass the background check, and take your firearm home.

What do I need to bring to pick up my transfer?

A valid Texas (or other state) government-issued photo ID with your current address. If your ID address is out of date, bring a supporting document (vehicle registration, current voter card, etc.). A Texas License to Carry can speed up the process. You'll complete ATF Form 4473 on-site.

How long does the background check take?

Most NICS background checks clear in a few minutes. Occasionally the FBI issues a delay; if that happens we'll let you know and hold your firearm until you're cleared to pick up.

Do you accept transfers from GunBroker, online retailers, and private sellers?

Yes. We accept transfers from any licensed dealer or online retailer (GunBroker, Guns.com, Palmetto State, Brownells, distributor warehouses, etc.) and from out-of-state private sellers who ship through their own FFL. The firearm must ship to our FFL, not to your home.

Can the seller ship the firearm directly to me?

No. Federal law requires that firearms purchased from an out-of-state seller ship to a licensed FFL — that's us. We receive it, log it, and release it to you after the background check. That's exactly what the transfer fee covers.

Where do I tell the seller to ship my firearm?

Use the ship-to FFL information on this page. Ask the seller to include your name on the package or shipping notes so we can match it to you quickly when it arrives.

Do you do NFA transfers (suppressors, SBRs)?

Call us at (409) 673-5075 to discuss NFA items — those follow a different ATF process and timeline than a standard transfer.
